What is the attire for the wedding?

The wedding is black tie optional—tuxedos and floor-length dresses are welcome, but a suit and tie or an elegant midi dress are also perfectly appropriate. The ceremony will take place outdoors, so we recommend ladies wear block heels for the grassy areas.

Will transportation be available to and from the ceremony?

Yes, transportation will be provided from Hotel Alpenrock starting at 3:45 PM to the ceremony at the church and back to the hotel for dinner and dancing for those who need it. The last shuttle will leave no later than 4:15 PM.

Where should I stay?

We’ve reserved a hotel block at Hotel Alpenrock, where our reception will be held. Discounted rates are available from September 1–10. Be sure to book by August 1 using the link on our Hotel & Transportation page. There are also great Airbnb and VRBO options nearby if you prefer a vacation rental!

Are children welcome?

Kids are welcome at the welcome party, but our wedding and rehearsal dinner will be adult-only events. We understand this is a long weekend, so consider turning the trip into a family vacation with a babysitter/family member.

What is the attire for the welcome party?

Anything Western-inspired goes—boots, hats, bolo ties, denim, and dresses! The welcome party will be outdoors on a rooftop, so plan for cooler temps as the sun sets. *If you don't have a hat, don't worry! Custom hats will be available for purchase.

What is the attire for the rehearsal dinner?

The attire is cocktail. The first hour will be outdoors with heaters, so plan accordingly. Men - Jackets encouraged, no tie required. Ladies - Short or long dresses are both welcome.

What’s the weather like in Breckenridge in early September?

Weather can swing from sunny upper 60s during the day to chilly 30s at night—pack layers to stay comfortable.

JUST A REMINDER

Just like golf balls, alcohol goes further and faster in the mountains, so please drink plenty of water and pace yourself. :)
